I realize it is a bit of a ghost town in here; it's been a few years since i posted anything on this site. But before I regret it for a fifth year, I wanted to make all who are in the NY/NJ area aware of an awesome event. The Garlic Run has been going on for over 20 years. It's an annual charitable ($20/bike), fully police escorted ride from the Rockaway Mall in NJ to Newark's Ironbound. This is an amazing experience as over 1000 bikes gather and parade down rt 80 (which is shut down)! Hundreds of onlookers wave, honk and stare from the shoulders and over passes. I've been to the last four rides and although every year I have a great time, every year I imagine how much cooler it would be to ride in 20-30 Monsters deep. And every year to my dismay, it's only me! One freaking Monster among thousands!!!
Now, in the past the ride was to NYC Little Italy. This year I plan on breaking away from the pack and continuing with the tradition as Ironbound seems geared towards the chap and vest wearing Harley crowd.

So I beg you all, please do what ever you have to do to make it out, it's really an amazing experience.
Let me know if you'll be there so that we may all gather off-site and ride in as one group.

This takes place Wednesday June 19th at the Rockaway Mall in NJ (Rt 80 exit 35 east/35A west). Sign-up starts at 4:30 ride leaves at 6:30.

Hope to see you there!

Sounds like a great time! I would join you if I was at all close. But being stuck in California makes for a tough time of it.

Are you a part of an Ducati owners club or know of one in your area?

Hi Jimmy,
I haven't been on this site in quite some time. I can't make it out to this event but will try and check in more often here at least. Good luck with the Garlic Run, sounds like fun!

Thanks guys. I have reached out to some of local clubs out here. Figured I would try to reach out to anybody that may, from time to time, check in on this old forum.

Have a fun season and be safe!
