Does anyone have any information on when the 2007 model Monsters? i.e., when they will be coming out, any changes to the line up, any pictures???? I am specifically looking for info. on the 2007 S2R 1000.

I picked up my Red '07 S2R 800 two weeks ago. Same as the '06 except the 07's have black wheels instead of the white.

I also heard they won't be offered in Tangerine in 07.

Here she is as-purchased: The reflectors and passenger footpegs have since come off.

they are in dealers inventory...we have both silver/black and black/whie on hand.... black wheels for 07 and black belt covers, no price increase.

Aww.. no more tangerine? Maybe its because i was the only person crazy enough to buy that color.

I bought the 2005 S2R 800 in acid yellow and I think it's awesome that they quit selling it because I never see anyone riding the same bike as me.

I picked up my Black 2007 S2R 1000 last week. The bike is Black with white stripe, and black wheels. It was a great surprise to get black wheels. Also came with black timing belt cover. Great Bike!

I bought the 2005 S2R 800 in acid yellow and I think it's awesome that they quit selling it because I never see anyone riding the same bike as me.

No more yellow? Glad I got one.

Black wheels and belt covers are an improvement IMO.

Talking with a dealer yesterday and he felt the black wheels would negatively impact his sales.

How did they alter the wiring on the '07 to eliminate the cable ties, different fastners, wiring loom, or both?

It seems rather odd...but I don't recall seeing any 749's or 999's (I went to Cycle World International show here in Houston). The Team USA replica was on display. One correction: The Desmosedici RR is actually listed as 2008 model - unfortunately they didn't have one on display.

There is no 749 or new midsized SBK in 07. There are no 999 SBKs except the Team America because the 1098 is replacing them. After the Milan show, there will be 1098, 1098s, 1098s Tri Colore, Hypermotard 1100 and Hypermotard 1100 S.

I got mine Sept. 14. I ordered it ~3 weeks prior. They were in America before the Europe August recess.
Put some money down and they will find one for you.

I know that they are being replaced, but they don't usually have an empty model year right? Was there a year they didn't release an SBK between the 998 and 999?

Actually, they had both models at the same time. They were selling the 998 FE and the 999 IIRC.

As for the 749, I'm guessing that it'll be an ~8xx come '08. Maybe they're wanting to focus on the 1098.

So the 1098 is going to be an 08 model released in Feb of 07? Man they're releasing them earlier and earlier...

1098 tri colore sounds yummy. my dealer still has a 06 999 R hmmm need more overtime pay.
