If anyone has the time and the understanding of the ducati rebate program I just need some clarification on the rebate program on the 2002 620 monsters.
I have read in several places that there is a 1500 rebate program for the 2002 monsters.

A few ducati dealerships have told me that is wrong and its like 500 dollars.

I have been on the market to buy a monster 620 as my first bike and I have been getting prices all over for the 2002 620 dark. from 6595 to 5995 and I just would like to hear about this rebate program since the dealerships do not like to talk about.
From board input I kinda know what numbers I am looking for its just that the dealerships really dont elaborate on the rebates and such.
Thanks

With motorcyles it is hard to prove what rebates are being offered. It is not uncommon for a comany to give rebates that never make it to the customer. Some time the dealer will give no rebate even when the company is giving money to them. If they can sell bikes with out it, the rebate is cash in their pockets. If the can't sell the bikes they will start giving the money to the customer is various ways, money off, free excessories, so on. Keep pressing your dealer, for the price you have been quoted you should be able to get a new 2003, so if they are trying to clear out 2002 still then you should be able to get a better price, unless they are not having a problem clearing them out or just don't have compition.

retail on a 2002 Monster 620ie is only 5795 and 5360 for the dark.

Thanks for the info, I guess I just have to play hardball with them till I get my price.

Is it true that during the fall and winter months bike prices go down a bit due to people not buying them? I was figuring since bike sales will be slow the next few months shops will give more incentives.

You being is Jersey, I would have to lean towards yes. Not only does snow kind of put a dampner on sales but they will be getting ready for the spring release of 2004 bikes, making a 2002 bike even cheaper.

As of April here are the price rollbacks -

You can assume that the dealer still has their normal profit in this. There was a similar document that I thought I saw for the dealers that listed the dealer rebates about a two months before the roll-back. I recall searching the news on the Duc NA site - maybe I got into the dealer section by accident.

Howdy, my wife bought her 2002 620 ie dark last Tuesday at our local dealer here in Santa Rosa,Ca. She paid $5800. and Ducati will pay for the first 2 services if they are completed within a 1 year period from the date of purchase.

Call it gut instinct but you might be a little late on this one.
