Hello all. My 2001 S4 was running perfectly fine all day right after a fresh tune up. I then stopped for about 5 minutes and when I went to start it again it cranked for a split second then it stopped. Everything lights up with the key and fuel pump still runs but the starter won't crank. It seems like an electrical problem since it was so sudden, as if a fuse was blown or a switch turned off, but I'm not sure. Are there any fuses I can check? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Not an immobilizer issue, light staying on?
You're not leaving it turned on for more than 10 seconds before starting?
Immobilizer light won't stay on after turning ignition on (I'm assuming that's the proper function?).
It doesn't matter how long I leave it on before starting. I've tried various lengths of time just to see if it makes a difference but nothing.
The failure was instant and it happened mid crank. Maybe the starter relay went bad? Any ideas?
