I know this might have been asked before but does anyone make a 2-1 system for a Duc? I have seen some pretty cool set-ups but never a 2-1.

This post is meant to be constructive. I'm also looking for a 2-into-1. And I'm not finding the information I want online. This post really turned into my own little private rant about 2-into-1 exhausts...

I'll start at the top.

Several vendors make them or did make them. Sil I believe still has one available.

If you go with the little Union Jack link, you get no information. If you stick with the Italian and guess around, you get a list of applications in the frame on the left. The applications do not have pictures or descriptsions, just engine sizes. Not even prices.

leovince makes one
Nice web site here... Going with "USA Only" gets you a very different set of information from going with "English." I'm looking for a system for my 620... so I end up with this:

http://www.leovinceusa.com/cart/search.php?Model=MONSTER 620&Make=Ducati&Year=2005&Line=SBK

All the exhausts over $1000 don't have pictures. Nice.

If I had stuck with "English" instead, I could have gotten a lot more information...

Pretty cool. But I didn't see a 2-into-1. Maybe I missed it.

I am pretty sure Akrapovic makes one also.
Akrapovic. Cool web site.

Still no 2-into-1. The only full system was for 1000S i.e. And it's not 2-into-1. The rest were slip-ons.

Shark also
I may have gotten a bad site for Shark, but here's what I got. :)

I can't read all the words, but I can guess what "2-2" means.

FbF has a 2-into-1 for 93-01 M900.

I'm not sure how well that would work out for me...

Don't forget to check Arc Fabrication - beautiful custom systems for Ducs for pretty decent $$.

Doug has been making a 2-1 system for years. Bruce Meyers also did a bunch of dyno work with it, and found it made good power on 750s, not sure what the data proved on 900s.

Those are really nice. Thanks, superbongos.

Any 620s?

It seems to me that there are a whole lot of options for S*R bikes and not so much for 620s. It seems to me that the only differences might be header opening diameter, header location, and hanger location. These seem to be pretty minor inconveniences for manufacturers... Why so few options for 620s (and now 695s)?

EDIT: On second thought... do we just need a mid-pipe to simulate the S*R slip-on locations?

well if you are looking to get more power from your bike
I think you get better gains by buying bigger bikes than
by souping up little ones, not a dig one your 620 by any means.
I think most 620 owners eventually move to a bigger bike....

My issue has nothing to do with power, since the 620 has more than enough performance on the street than you can even use legally, the pipe was strictly for looks. I am just trying to do somthing a little different. I have decided on a Supertrapp muffer with adjustable baffles and some custom pipe work to facilitate it. Thanks for the assistance.

I just got an estimate to fab the pipe and its going to be ...get this 25 bucks, the dude is going to remove the left pipe right at the intersection, use a stainless patch, weld and grind it. Then using black header wrap I will do the to headers from the head down to "cafe" it up. the supertrapp muffler poses no real problems as far as mounting, there are a number of clamps that should suffice. I only hope the bike dosent run like crap afterwords. I will post my results when finished. Thanks again for the info
