I'm in, but the Duc still is in the shop. Guess I'll have to bring the new bike, or maybe the truck, if the logistics don't work out.

New bike - do tell, talk is cheap, we need proof not some HD marketing photo.
See bottom of page.

So you going to Daytona with me?
Sure. Got room in your trailer? Or we could take mine (23-foot enclosed beavertail). Or we could do the Iron Butt as part of the week (my preference) I probably won't stay in Daytona the whole time -- want to visit SC, GA, AL, MS and LA. Those, combined with the trip I'm planning w/ my kids in June, will give me every state east of the Mississippi in less than 18 months.

BTW, the trip home was great. But 35 deg. F. at 75 MPH is a wind chill equivalent of about 14 deg. F., so I'm going to switch over to my extra-heavy riding gloves, and install wiring for my heated grips on the 'Rod.

Jebus Bill, you almost didn't make it off that block of Wilson... There was a speeder cage coming up the street when you pulled out that almost pasted you... Then you got on the throttle right in front of an ACPD truck. I think the Harleys making a holigan out of you.
I thought the worst thing about that experience was having you guys push me backwards when I got stuck in that crack in the concrete! Gee, didn't see the cage -- damn neck joints and limited peripheral vision. Well, that's what brakes are for. What's an ACPD truck? Some kind of noise monitoring thing?

Whether or not I'm becoming a hooligan, I feel a lot more secure in traffic w/ the extra 200 lbs. under me.

Well, gotta go. Off to buy about three grand worth of bling. Ah, the joys of semi-retirement.

BTW: My neighbor ( a mile up the road) was out for a walk yesterday afternoon and found the key. I had a message when I got home. Thank you, Lord.
