Tuneecu android app

Hi guys,

I've just reflashed my 06 S2R1000 with the ducati performance map using the excellent Tuneecu android app.

Anyone able to outline the procedure to reset the TPS? My research indicates 3.4 degrees is the required figure. Is the TPS reset an automated process or do I put in the 3.4 degree figure manually?

Cheers

Justin

I have not researched setting the tps on a S model but I did do it on a Brutale 910r, 2007. I wouldn't think different so if I'm wrong the more learned members can jump in.

The ecu does not control the tps and if your software does it is "fooling" the ecu. I set mine with an ohm meter. TPS sensors in the day were linear. A sweeping needle that allows voltage, max around 4.6 +/-, to a given throttle opening.

Now remember, I'm only going by the work done on a MV Agusta and Ducati for the same year was a far better system. Is it a 5.5 M? MV was a 16M ecu, last year 2007.

It took me 3 months with a data logger, wideband afr and the help of someone across the pond to burn a chip with proper afr across the rpm band. When done that bike ran like a raped ape. Good Lord it was plain scary azz fast.

Just my 2 cents from working on that model.

I'm advised by my local ducati technician that it only needs a software TPS reset. My plan is to reconnect Tuneecu when I have a chance, confirm the current TPS value, record that and then reset it to 0. This is done with the ecu on but the engine not running I believe. If that doesn't work then I'll set it to 3.4 degrees. And if need be I will reset to the current value - the bike starts and idles fine with the reflash and current TPS setting, though I haven't yet riden it.

My question is more about the Tuneecu android procedure for resetting the TPS on a ducati with a 5am ecu.

I will report back.

I believe you have a linear TPS, the BikeBoy link Toytuff listed will tell you how to check / set the TPS on your bike.
