Supersport gauges vs monster gauges

Besides appearance, does anyone happen to know how similar/different the gauges are for the monster and the supersport for 2000 with the 15m ecu? Is either the speedo or tach plug and play? Idiot lights?
Thanks

Nice part about the 1.5 ecu is that you can do things like gauge swapping.

Both bikes run a speedo cable, so the speedo's interchange. Wiring to the warning lamps (IIRC) is different and would require some cutting/splicing to make work. The tach feeds off the same wire from the ecu, but the connector may be different. The Monster engine may not have the sender for the temp gauge (it's on the oil pick-up screen, right side of engine, 21mm bolt head, underneath the clutch cover). If the engine doesn't have the temp gauge pick-up, it could be added to your Monster engine and then the entire cluster would work for you.

Bottom line:
You can swap the gauges...it may require some custom wiring to be done.

Duck-Stew is pretty much the man.

Listen, not a year goes by, not a year, that I don't hear about some escalator accident involving some bastard kid which could have easily been avoided had some parent - I don't care which one - but some parent conditioned him to fear and respect that escalator.
