Question Monster 696 Fork Upgrade Options

Hi All,

Just curious does any one have experience with either of these M696 fork cartridge replacements?

Matris Fork Cartridge F20 Kit for Ducati Monster 696/796, Showa Fork

and

ANDREANI MISANO ADJUSTABLE HYDRAULIC CARTRIDGE FOR SHOWA FOR DUCATI MONSTER 696

How good are these solutions compared with simply changing the forks from a 848/1098 or m1100 evo?

Prices all seem relative, how easy is install? Is it just drop in? Any experience with longevity/quality?

Many thanks

Did you install them yourself? Or have a shop do it? Also did you order them online if so which site?

Follow up question, does anyone know if Monster 1100 EVO adjustable fork cartridges will drop right into the 696 fork housing? From my research it seems they're 1 to 1 in size. Found a good deal on some 1100 evo inner cartridges for $200 so want to ensure it's essentially plug and play before purchasing.

I had Matt at Indy Ducati install the Andreani kit on my 696. Unless you have the tools and knowhow,i would let a qualified tech do the install. Spent less than a grand on parts and labor and thats with a master Ducati tech wrench doing the work.
