The lightweight ones, yeah.
Anxiety, Irritability, Restlessness, Agitation. Those are pretty typical.

These:
Hallucination, Psychotic disorder, Suicidal ideation.
I don't need 'em.

As attractive as the thoughts of Wellbutrin/Chantrix fueled wild hallucinatory dreams or a psychotic/sociopathic rampage may be , I'll stick to the cold-turkey and gum for now.

Patches don't seem to be all that helpful from folks' FHE.

Interesting 'mind trick' stuff from Spidey and Spikey, that's helpful stuff.

evoasis, just the thought of chewing t'backy makes me want to hurl.
I tried it *once*, just plain nasty to me.

IMO... if you are truly doing this for you.... it's easy. If you are doing it for any other reason... it'll be, not so easy.

Re: Unofficial SoCal Quitting Smoking Thread

Good job and hang in there.

Its been 6 years since I've quit and I still occasionally crave a smoke
I was a hardcore pack to 2 packs a day smoker. I quit cold turkey because It didn't make sense to me to use the patch or gum. I was seriously evil for about 2 weeks, I would have been more than happy to rip random people's heads off and beat them with it just for kicks. Thank god my husband was out of town, I don't think he would have survived it

It is one of the hardest things I've ever done but I'm so glad I did. It really will get easier as you go on.

That's actually dip, not chew. However, it IS fucking disgusting - but when I was in High School, we used to use it cause we could do it during class...

Oops. Guess I should have written what I was thinking and qualified my statement with the side effects that were listed as being frequent and/or infrequent.

Re: Unofficial SoCal Quitting Smoking Thread

For all you weed suckers....

What might very well help you kick that nasty, ugly, stinking, dirty, costly habit is....

Go to the intensive care unit of any Hospital treating folks with Emphysema...on their last breath, desperately gasping for an ounce of air while their lungs finally give way to this relentless disease.

Yes, I was at my Brother's bedside, him grasping my hand, on a ventilator, his frail, skeleton of a body shaking from all of the drug treatment from IV's, just to allow him to hang on for a few more days...he could not project a word to me, just moved his lips as he was drowning in the airless world he had fallen into. I held his shaking hand while he desperately tried to say his final words to me.
To this day, I do not know what words he was attempting to deliver me, as he shriveled up and faded away.

Oh yeah...Chesterfield, Lucky Strike, Marlboro....a real man's smoke.

To hell with all of that.....what a sinful waste of a beautiful person, my Brother, giving way to that ever so masculine lifestyle.

I truly miss David....his day came way too early.

Please stop as soon as you can.....and hopefully it will make a difference...
for you and your loved ones.
