Hey mate,

I've had my S4 for 'bout a year now (it currently resides in Brisbane at the moment but will return to Sydney early 2010 as I'm currently away for work - all this talk of riding and Sydney coffee is killing me)

Simply put, the guys at Gowanloch were awesome.

I bought my bike from a work colleague and found it was really, really hard to start. Like the battery is going flat hard cause I've had so many tries. Remembering all the warnings I'd ever had about buying stuff sight unseen, I took it out to Gowanloch for a service and they found the problem (sprag clutch - which apparently saves the starter motor - not technically minded that's about as good a description I can give).

Then I turned up to Gowanloch a few months later wanting to ask about getting Rizoma bar ends fitted so I could put (Rizoma) bar end mirrors on - ended up spending 2hrs+ with one of the guys who machined, and remachined the threads in my bar ends over and over to make it work with the '01 S4 as it has solid bars...

So the long and the short of it is that I can't recommend them highly enough. I will be returning there. Even despite all that glitters in the new Frasers workshop.

This is about the best I can do with the tailchop for now - done before I bought the bike. Its just a machined plate with holes drilled through...also need to get a tube for rego label.

Cheers mate,

Simon

Just sold my Harley & picked up the Duke. My first Duke & I'm really impressed so far.
Currently its in the shed in bits have lots of mods done to it (exhaust, clip ons dual headlights, tail chop) & probably more. Hope to have it back on the road in a few weeks.

Are there many other members in Adelaide?
