Re: The" ALL NEWBIES SAY G'DAY HERE" Thread

Well, I picked up the 620ie today. That is, I paid for it, but given the rain & my 12 months/2600 k's of riding experience, a much more adept mate of mine rode it to my place. I didn't think that my first ride on it should be in the rain. I did get to Deus on the Hyosung in the rain, but I still didn't want to push my luck. Anyway, it's safely locked away in the garage until the rain stops. It's a bit strange to find a Ducati in my garage, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. Thanks for the welcome messages in response to my earlier ramblings, much appreciated.

At least you didn't have to ring 911 for a crashed Ducati!

What does the 911 mean anyway I hope it has nothing to do with a car

Sadly, yes. I had a Porsche 911 for 10 years. Wish I'd kept it, but I put the funds towards a unit at Darling Harbour. I did, however, keep the number plates : FUN-911. I'll get another one, one of these days. But I'm loving motorbikes!

Re: The" ALL NEWBIES SAY G'DAY HERE" Thread

Hi all,

Name: Jamie
Bike: 01 S4, highmount CF Termi's, lowered gearing, sintered pads etc. Spend most of my money on rear tyres. Had it from new.
Live: Outer South-East Melbourne
Like: Riding the roads near home (we live near Mt Dandenong), going on rides with no planned destination.
Do: As little as possible!
Think: Life is too short to not ride. Work to live, not live to work. The more rides the better.

I recently saw a picture of the Sydney Monster Club on another forum and was wondering if there was one in Melbourne?

Cheers

Spot on Big. I use jandkhc on there. Been having a bit of a look around here to see what's going on after you mentioned this site.

Cheers, Jamie

Hi Super, not a forum but a picture of 17 Monster's ar Road Warrior's that BigIan posted on Bikeme! Was wondering whether there were any rides coming up in Melbourne. I look forward to having a good read of the mods (good/bad) people have made to the bikes.

Well, that's great, I bring up bikeme on teh interwebs at work, click on forums and the work computer blocks it saying it has profanity on the site.

Must be a great site!
