More than a passing resemblance to the good old days..
Rob.
The SV-650 is a classic. No if's or but's.

ronski with you guys on the older style bikes, when the engine and exhaust had form and added to the character of the machine. Now it seems everything is just cramped into a box under the seat, can't even tell where the heads or barrels are anymore. Exhaust has become another fugly box thing.
way too old now for 200 Hp. (even 140hp). Guess I will be keeping the old monster

wish they had left it as this.

Oh well, got to move on.
I was also expecting a small fairing like the Tuono. 168 mph without one is just nuts.

We were told the Multistrada was going V4 in 2021 but Ducati is keeping the V2 alive.
The new Panigale V2 as the successor to the 959 really looks awesome.
I think the Monster will remain a V2 but who knows?

I was out on the Multistrada today: not a cloud in the sky, 5C with both heated grips and jacket liner. It was awesome. I was warm while admiring the fall colors. It made me realized how lucky we are to ride these fabulous machines.

ronski I guess we all got to see the new models this week,
V4 Streetfighter with 208-220HP. Awesome!!.
Really, bikes with wings.......Should have named it 'The Red Baron', he.he.
Definitely does not resemble a Monster any more, frame and engine from Panigale etc.

The Monsters are back on Ducati site, yes, same engine specs for both 1200 and 1200S but difference is mainly suspension, with the 1200S getting Ohlins.

There was a hint that more new models will be released next year, so V4 Monster maybe??

DarR The Streetfighter is no longer held together by a Trellis frame. it has moved-on.
We'll find out this week what will become the look of the new Streetfighter in production form.

breaddrink The monster hasn't looked right to me since they gave it the rework in 2009. So much plastic and toy like design twists.

The streetfighter maintained the same frame proportions and looks more like the old monster to me.. As such I'm not too tearful about this decision. In fact I always had a sneaking suspicion that the 'cartoony' looking monster changes were intentional, to split it away from the streetfighter, as they looked very similar for a couple of years.

It would suck if I liked the newer monsters styling though, I can see that..

Monster4Lee Current Monsters probably handle better than race bikes of 20-30 years ago too.
