TonyTDE Cool cool, thanks. You are really helpful, I appreciate it, and the goodies you sell me Ill get with you after or during the weekend about buying the PCIII

fch99 No issues - just look at the power commander website for what you can download and use. There are a few different configurations as you'll see.

I used a map off that for my bike with pods, no baffles, your engine, and a full Arrow system.

TonyTDE Cool, I will most likely buy it. Just let me crunch some numbers tonight, I did just buy an engine lol. Also, can I do that air-box mod without tuning it or should I just wait on that? I would like to go to air pods down the road.

fch99 To get it right, you're going to need at least one wide band lambda sensor and a recording device or access to a dyno machine. If you're going down that road, honestly I recommend Rexxer or TuneBoy.

Alternatively, you can download the map which is close from the PC website and be more plug and play. It'll also be easier to change it in the future as you make more changes. Finally, there are plenty of dyno centers that support PC - so it's easy to update that way and you can mess with the maps more quickly and easily using the PCIII software.

That's about all I have on the topic...

TonyTDE I am very tech savvy and my sisters fiance does tuning on high end cars. Maybe between the two of us we can do it. So far I have Remus headers going into GPR cans and Eliminated the emissions crap. I need to do the open air-box mod, just wasnt sure if I should without a tune. I think that is it for the time being.

fch99 You definitely can do tuning that way, the question is - do you know how to do that? If not, you might end up like me buying another ECU. You might find a close ECU map (bin file) - I might have a few - I'll look later today, but it won't be specific to your bike. Remind me what performance upgrades you have.

Either way, the PCIII offers a simpler and easier to manage way of doing things.

It is still available.

TonyTDE Hmmm, ok. Well I guess im back on the band wagon. Do you still have it? I was under the impression if I got a cable that I could do tuning with the GuzziRead/Write and TunerPro.

fch99 Depends. The lonelec route is only as good as the map that you have to put on your ECU. If you have an ECU map made they put it on for you so you don't need the cables. Some people share maps that could be close to your setup, that's hit and miss. I use the cables for maintenance and then the PC for tuning. I also recently bricked my ECU trying to map it myself... Most tuners know how to use a PCIII, most don't know how to make ECU maps. ECU maps cost $325 and up, PCIII dyno tune is usually around $200.
