EEEliminator | Hate to bring an old thread back... Has anyone had to deal with this out of warranty? What was the cost? |

Javaman | Mine blanked out during a short ride on a gravel road. Dealer reset it and wasn't sure why it happened. It hasn't happened again but I am always nervous that it will. |

Quantum | Dealer upgraded the software and odometer reappeared. They don't really know what caused it. Said something about two modules that keep track of mileage getting out of sync but they were not sure. Anyway, it's fixed. |

I had that happen and they will take the mileage as stored in your black box and put that back in as total mileage. The Ducati factory software will get you sorted. Sent from Motorcycle.com Free App |

You can expect to be told, "We have never seen or heard of that before." ![]() |

Quantum | Dealer has no idea. "Bring it in and we'll scan codes". I guess that's what it'll take. Just wondering if someone else had this experience and what to expect. |

Page 78 of your bike's manual advises to contact your dealer: "If a string of flashing dashes " ----- " is displayed within odometer function, please contact a Ducati Dealer or Authorized Service Center." |

Where Did My Odometer Display Go? My 2014 1200s just stopped displaying total mileage. Just displays a blinking series of dashes in place of odometer. All other mileage counters are working (trip odometers and count up from low fuel warning). I did also notice that on startup it began displaying a red message with the software build version. Didn't seem to notice that before. Reinserting the key on/off doesn't seem to help. Bike always on trickle charger so battery should be good. Switching riding modes is of no help either. Anybody have any idea before I call the dealer? Attachment 176241Attachment 176249 |
