I've got a 99' 750 and mine behaves pretty much like this, I think it's pretty regular.

98M750 Missing Nuetral...

Hey Guys,

I've got a 98 M750 with just about 10960 showing on the odo. Over the past couple of weeks I've had an intermittent problem with shifting the bike into neutral when it's cold. I'll attempt to up-shift into neutral from first, using light pressure, and she shoots up into second. Am I looking at a clutch rehab or is this common? Once I've run the bike through a few shifts, which doesn't take long in NYC, it's fine and shifting through all other gears is spot on.

If this is a rehab issue any idea on cost of parts and hours involved? I would probably have to bring it in to the dealer but am looking to judge the scope of the job. I'd tackle it myself but I've got no place to do any real work on my bike.

Thanks
