WhiteLight64 Problem identified. The two small air hoses coming form MAP sensor to Throttle Bodies had developed cracks. I had looked at them, but the cracks formed on the back side. $12.

WhiteLight64 Add mine to the list. Just bought a 2012 1100evo; 2500mi. Rode it 50mi and fell in love. But at the end of the ride it'd stall at every traffic light. #ItalianOwnership

Something changed on that first ride. I'm not inclined to chase a throttle-body sync as the bike worked fine for awhile, but now does not. Will post updates, I want to figure this one out myself if I can. Not my first bike, just my first Ducati.


Update 10/21/19

With the throttle cracked the slightest bit, with an eye on the digital tach, the bike will idle fine, even as low as 950rpm, but close that throttle and it stalls. I checked every air line, they're fine. If I dial the throttle cable out a wee bit, the bike idles fine, as the throttle is cracked, but this is not proper. I believe the TPS needs a reset w a dealer PC. The sensor itself is $400 fyi. One thing,
possibly related: I installed new OEM grips, as the previous owner had aftermarket. The right grip comes from Ducati with a new throttle tube. Perhaps the dealer would re-calibrate TCS when doing this?


The battery, even on tender is getting sluggish to start the bike, even a after a week on tender- I will replace it. Have not done fuel or oil filter, not convinced they're culprits.

Understood duc900ss, I totally bypassed that. Glad my '13 I didn't have that issue.

Hello, how many miles and why did the valve guides go bad?

Mister Ducati You can save a lot of cash if you go to AV&V Valve Components for valve guides - valve seats etc. They are designed from a more durable material than the originals.
Note - if you change valve guides then you should change valve seats also.

flatbutt no luck at all with Ducati. The OEM guides were close to $200 but my wrench found D1000 guides that he has a good history with for a fraction of that price. God bless the independent shops.
