fresh Monster owner from Perth

hey guys, I just bought my first Duc (2001 monster 750 dark)
its an old lady with a lot of charisma haha. I havent been on a bike in 11 years, my last ride was a yamaha R6.... best decision ever to get back in the saddle and how freckin awesome the old girl is
she's got 74.000km on the clock and i already did the timing belts and checked the valve clearances (no idea what i am really doing but hey, it seems a bit like a tractor engine )
Being a bit older now I am not chasing lap times anymore, but boy, I just love how small the thing seems and how it eats up the bends paired with the infernal noise....(and vibrations lol)
I am sure I will annoy you all with technical questions soon, as it seems the bike does need some work done..... currently looking for technoflex springs to make the frontend a bit better (any advice very very welcome btw)and then in the near future i think i will have to redo the engine...(compression sits at about 7bar on both cylinders) but for now I want to drive her....
Its love at first sight (and touch) hahaha.
thx for having me aboard, sash
