+1 - I'm not a fan of the tail chop either. To each their own, but for me it makes a monster look too cute.

BTW - I've dropped 13lbs in the last two months bringing me down to a svelte 195! Unfortunately (or mostly) that's all sprung weight...

I've owned 2 Monsters and tail chopped both with no regrets. It's just the right thing to do...looks so much better. But if I had a do-over I'd get the DP short tail instead...I miss having an extra place to strap luggage and the stubby carbon tail piece looks excellent.

I can believe 6 lbs if you factor in the beer tray and turn signals. In fact I can weigh all that stuff tomorrow just to make it official.

I have 2 tail sections available if anyone needs one btw. One Ducati Dark one silver.

Ok, I was able to weigh the frame section and beer tray + turn signals:



Just over 2 lbs..so 6 is def ambitious. But I didn't have that ugly section of fender/mudflap etc to weigh either which is quite possibly 2 lbs by itself. More for the Euro version.
