Ducati service near Chicago???

There used to be a couple of options right in the city but they appear to be gone. Now the nearest dealer seems to be in Villa Park. Not exactly close.

There must be a place closer to the city that can do simple repairs/installations.

Any ideas? It shouldn't have to be a dealer, but someone who knows Ducatis would be a plus.

Kenosha is further than Villa Park, which is too far for general work.

Chicago folks? Any ideas? Mechanics who can handle Ducati repairs

Thanks for the note about Northlake. Unfortunately, that's only a few minutes closer to me than Villa Park.

If you wanted a bike that was easy to get serviced, a Ducati was a poor choice. You might have to suck it up and drive across town to get whatever needs done taken care of.

I also go with MCC in Villa Park. This winter they picked up my bike for free to do some work on it. It was very convenient, actually.

I also would not hesitate to take my bike to Ducati Milwaukee. Really classy guys there.

I spoke with a trustworthy source who said if all goes according to plan, a new Chicago dealer will be opening within 10 minutes of downtown. Until then... these other options.

I know the dealers well -- it's independent shops I'm searching for. MCC hasn't exactly earned my repeat business. They picked up your bike for free when it needed service? They've come nowhere close to extending service to me which is even remotely similar. They've been very unfriendly and disorganized.

I hope that's true. News I heard a few weeks back wasn't nearly as optimistic. I don't know if we're talking about the same potential store. Maybe not. A dealer in Chicago would be wonderful. I've heard from several people who won't deal with MCC anymore.
