Re: 2008 Ducati 848 Road Test

I was at the Dr's office today and (forgot the magazine) and read that Polen rode the 1098s and a 999s and he was 1.5 seconds faster on the 999s then the 1098. I was a bit surprised, anyone read the whole article and what was the magazine?

That was Psycho World.
1. The 1098s came with the suspension set up all wrong.
2. Doug had raced the 999 for a number of years and was more comfortable on it.
3. The 1098s does not come with the full Termi system while the 999s does.

There is an aluminum mono subframe available. Don't forget BST wheels and a kevlar tank to round out the package.

Re: 2008 Ducati 848 Road Test

I'm waiting on my Termis to arrive... must be on the slow boat from Italy

The aluminum sub frame is in the DP catalouge. It's at home so I don't have it the part number

'08 848 (Full Termignoni exhaust, Dynotuned by AMS, DP tinted windscreen)<br />'05 M620 (Fresco conical slipons exhaust, Rizoma clipons, Speedymoto frame sliders, CA integrated tail light, tailchop, and oh yeah totaled in Arkansas)

just curious there is a passenger's seat on there but I've never seen extra pegs on any 848, or does everyone just take them off?

They come with the bike but not usually installed. Mine were in bubble wrap in the box they came in when I picked up the rest of my paperwork after the holidays

+1

They're still in bubble wrap. I'll be getting the mono tail in a bit.
