I hate waiting for parts. Why oh why does it take so freaking long?

I ordered a few new parts for my bike the week of Thanksgiving and I have still not received them. Is this typical for Ducati dealers? Are parts really that hard to get in? All I ordered was new handle bars, a windscreen, and something else that I can

If they are DP items it will be a bit. I hear it is unreal how long you can wait sometimes. Good Luck.

Getting stuff through my local dealer seems to take about a month. I understand it can be a lot longer than that if parts have to be shipped from Italy first.

Think about how long it takes to get things in to Australia.

I was tired of getting the runaround at my local dealer and started calling Dave at Ducati Seattle. He will give you the straight scoop and a fair price. I live in PA and he is still faster to the door than my local joint.

You can never have enough patience with Ducati parts. My experience is that if you wait longer than 3 months, the item will never come. It's either a discontinued product or a messed up order. I've never had to pay in advance though...

Yeah, I should have called Ducati Seattle. I thought I would give my local dealer one more chance. I thought to myself, "How hard could it be to get a set of Handle Bars? I'm sure my dealer could do that after all it

I don't do business with people who want me to pay before they order stock(ish) parts. Long delays create friction on both sides & it's not fair to the guy who ponies up the $$.

I gotta get on board here,my local nameless dealer told me,after a three week wait on a return call from DNA,(yeah right)they only make one with 620ie decals, and that will peel paint if you remove it(I was looking for the replacement rightside cover after I removed the senseless charcoal can),,,BUT,he said merrily,we have these lovely carbon fiber models in stock ,200 usd a pair, want em?....Ducati Seattle had it in my hand,40 bucks/four days.
