S2r fork conversion question

Looking to pickup a mint S2r 800 next weekend and want to convert to adjustable 1000 forks. I've done some searching but it's a little unclear - I think they are just drop in right? I found a set with the bottom triple and axle so is there anything else I need. Also I assume this does not affect rake/trail at all correct...

Thanks all-

David

S2R 1k adjustable forks drop in. No other parts are necessary as I recall. With minor changes you can also use 748 forks. There are plenty of threads on this topic - too much info to repeat

The S2R's are adjustable but they are not the quality of the 748's. They are more difficult to come across as well. I have a top triple bored for 748 forks if you decide to go that route. Nothing wrong with it, just bought a set from Speedymoto. That and shims for the lower triple is the only thing needed to bolt the 748 forks on.

I think some of the older 900 forks were adjustable as well, but check the caliper spacing if you look at that route.
