If it's as simple as adding 25mm or so to the 800 headers between the elbow and the head mount then I guess it won't be that expensive to pay a welder for the work.

That's my backup plan, still hoping to score a full DS header though.

Do you think that a Hyper 1100 head pipe would work since it's a DS engine too?

Should be able to use the spigot but you would still need to cut and weld it into the stock system. I searching for a vertical exhaust pipe off an S2R1K. If that will mate up to the 620 collector I will just get the rest of a stock system and cut/weld the horizontal cylinder's pipe.

I think I'll take my udder in with the pipes to a custom pipe shop and have them chop whatever they need out of that to make it work - then drop the rest in the garbage.

I just ordered a set of Black AEM Triples 53/53 w/ Risers - I bet mine get here before yours Bob

I'll reuse the recently installed tapered bearings and hopefully when the OEM bottom triple is pressed it doesn't fcuk up the washer on the bottom, otherwise that'll have to get added to the list.

Waiting on a ton of parts, and when I get back to the USA this weekend can start getting the shop ready for some serious upgrades. I think that I have it all planned out pretty well, but I'm sure there's going to be a little fun in there too.

With this engine and the recent upgrades, I'm very near 320 lbs (I estimate) dry, and 95hp (Ducati Number). With a port & polish and 20 more pounds I'll get to my target of 3lbs/HP.

Can't wait to dig into this next round!

Mine are 53/53 in silver w/risers. Lyle claims AEM sent a set for the early Monster by mistake, that was of about a month ago. I have another email into him requesting an update. On a better note, the wheels are "scheduled" to ship 1st week in March. We'll just see about that.

Isn't the "early monster" what you want? Or are you just referring to the 50/54 vs 53/53 aspect?

for the exhaust, could you not put a spacer in betweent eh head and the exhaust pipe to make the mounting surface a little further out... i.e. maybe double stack a set of exhaust gaskets?

The steering tube on the pre 02 bikes was a smaller diameter and had a different top nut.

Oh - I didn't see anything that early available on the AEM website. Oh well.
