Powder coating

I want to powder coat the alternator and clutch cover. I have tried looking in the forums and couldn't find anything. Has anyone got any potential problems doing this? do you need to take the oil sight glass out? thanks for your help

Traditional non-high temp powder coatings can withstand up to about 250F degrees and occasional spikes in temp up to about 350F-400F. Our experience has shown high temperature powder coatings to be troublesome to spray, have poor longevity, and overall durability. For higher temp applications such as exhaust, we recommend the line of Cerakote High Temp products.

That said, I powder coated a few parts on my bike including some on/near the exhaust so far looks okay no issues.
