But not a red bright "Ducati" branded cover that shouts to the world that you got a shiny new bike.
Instead get a cheap grey one from ebay which won't attract any unwanted attention.
That's what I got a grey cover from Walmart

Insurance will let you sleep in peace, most bikes are stolen for parts, not to ride, besides you should have the factory engine immobilizer to prevent it being started.

The bottom line is a heavy-duty chain is just a reminder to a thief to come back with a mate and a bottle of liquid nitrogen, after all, it someone doesn't want it stolen then it must be worth stealing.

If your really worried then buy and fit a small GPS tracker, on eBay the 2G units are under $10, the 4G units for under $50, but then are you realky going to knock on a warehouse door at 3am, the cops won't want to be bothered or involved in a stolen bike.

Found the guy who stole my cover, seems like he lives in other part of the apartments.

He may have bought the same cheap one from Walmart.

He'd be a stupid muthafucka to steal something and display it near where he still it.

The stolen cover was actually from Amazon and the one I have now is from Walmart. I don't have anything to prove that it's my cover. I just have to think that he bought same cover in exact color as mine out of all the other covers on Amazon

Yeah, that just may be a coincidence. Maybe he has good taste like you. Who knows...

In my city the meth heads will steal anything not nailed down. One of them stole a car wash bucket and mitt out of the bed of my pick up last month...unbelievable! Bottom line is that a conflict with a criminal over a bike or bike cover could turn lethal over something that can be replaced.

I agree with the previous comment about having good insurance - unfortunately my car wash equipment was not covered...

Put a mark on your current cover so you can tell it's yours

Did that and installed a tracker on the bike yesterday.

And the bike has theft insurance. Disc locks are on the way. I think this should be good.

Thanks guys for the comments

Kind of funny to think that he may have had his stolen, saw yours and took what he thought was his back, and then you might be doing the same

How society crumbles..
