Get away bike knobbies

Hi all, I have a Monster 796 - best bike I have ever owned except maybe for the Kawasaki 750 two stroke triple, they're similar in many ways... does snorting and bucking at light throttle sound familiar?

Thinking about putting Conti TKC 80 knobbies on the bike for light duty fall season dirt adventures. I'm from a dirt bike background so think it might be fun in a scary big $$$ way.

Has anyone done this or have I been watching too many episodes of The Walking Dead?

Cheers, Bub

Gotta give you credit for that dig - I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it! The Pani actually looks pretty sweet that way! I can't imagine the power band being too off road friendly however, but you gotta give the guy kuddos for doing something no one has ever done before.

I picked them up today, the 180 rear is crazy-big. Never seen a knobby like this! It's all for fun, but maybe this approach could be closer to something the new Ducati Scrambler should have been...
I'll send pics when installed- I'm calling them my winter tires

Been thinking of doing this as well, but with different (longer) suspension. At least in the front.

The guys at the bike shop told me about someone in Portland making a monster with Kaw 650 front forks - more than I had in mind but interesting. I'm just thinking of riding on fireroads and such after fire season is over out here in the west.
