Soooo after a few weeks of waiting for parts I opened up the alternator side cover. Had the fork return spring spring broken, and the washer behind the flywheel wash lodged between shaft and smaller lay shaft gear. I changed these pieces out, including a drum control fork, the service bulletin kit and used alternator cover. No more leaks from the inspection cover, and completely normal shifts! Might post a new thread showing my YouTube mechanic adventures.
