Farewell Monster 1200 "R"

Monster 1200 R does not seem to be available for 2020 as it's no longer on Ducati's website.
Will probably be superseded by the new Streefighter.
Looks like I'll be keeping my R for awhile.

@Kidnplay01
I loved the look of the older Streetfigther but the design of this new iteration does not do it for me. Too much beak.
Perhaps it's just because of the race version without headlights. Hopefully the final street version will look better. It may needs a small fairing like the Tuono IMO. Moreover, those Akras are fugly. I liked the double barrels on the original.

Not with that new delta box frame and fairing-tank bridging.

Pani V4, SF V4 and most probably the mts...shit's starting to look like all other bikes out there due to those 2 new (to Ducati) elements.

If the next monster has a delta box frame i'm gonna start looking elsewhere for my bike porn fix

Mine's not an R, but I am very happy with it. Don't feel any need for more power. It has plenty, and I have grown pretty comfortable with it. It's a keeper.

I"m with you 100%. Trellis & Testastreta for the Monsters.
Even with the Multistrada, V4 why? That DVT V2 on the MTS is heavenly smooth and getting more power out of it would not be hard.
But why? it's already a 240 kph bike. I've geared it down to use more of that torque down low.
The Monster's V2 is explosive down low and that's what I like.
BTW, nice to see you back.

The base model and S model now show the same HP and torque specs. The S used to have higher numbers.

Yeah, I remember that which was really stupid as the hardware between both models were identical. The power difference was ECU map related. Just Ducati trying a cash grab to justify the "S" price. Really didn't work as adding a Termi and upmap equalized both models.
