1200R - Pillion seat underneath

I'd seen posts in other places that reference needing to purchase a separate touring seat for passengers, since the 1200R has the hard cap.

While doing some work, noticed the two screws underneath, which lets the top cap slide off, with a full seat underneath. There's no reference to this anywhere in the Ducati docs, and given I've seen misinformation on it, figured I'd post it. Who knew?

The rear foot pegs should have been the first clue. Enjoy the ride. I've had my 1200R for 3 years now & it's still as thrilling as day one.

The Maintenance Manual references the removal and refitting of the Seat Cover. Do you have a copy of the manual?
