Termi or Akrapovic

Had my 1200S a few weeks and looking to change the stock silencer.
Whilst I'd quite like the Termi slip ons they are very expensive in the UK.

So as a much less cost option I'm really tempted to fit the Akrapovic item. i think it looks good, they are extremely high quality and I save over 500.

Any thoughts?

Neither, I'd take a look at SC project...plus they expose the ss swingarm!!!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...12502d9982.jpg

The nice thing about the Termi is that it would include the upgraded mapping to compensate for the removal of the cat/increased exhaust flow. Some of the larger SC Project cans don’t require a tune or something like the RapidBike piggy-back, but the more aggressive options would, which is something to consider.
Regarding the Akra options, those you should be able to use with no re-map.

Be careful Ducati may void your warranty if you use anything besides a Termingnoni.

I've decided to go Akrapovic, I've used non approved cans on other bikes with no warranty issue, e.g.the Termi on the Supersport, approved unit is Akra for that bike....

Thanks everyone for the comments, much appreciated.

I prefer a 2 into 1 exhaust because of weight savings, single sided swingarm look and rear wheel servicing ease.
Notwithstanding, the Termi is expensive but does include an ECU flash which you must account for with an aftermarket unit.
My choice stopped at SC-Project. Their craftsmanship is above reproach. That combined with a Rexxer flash or a Rapidbike unit.

The SC is nice but I don't enjoy the extra taxes that are added to get one in the UK.

Though I'm having real problems getting an Akrapovic, the dealer shipped the end can, then I had to wait for the link pipe. Now when I try and fit it I find that they have sent me the old can and not one for the new Monster....

Congrats! Bike looks really good with that. I have an 821 but I think most slip-on mufflers fit the same (?), I went with the LV carbon muffler since it was like $300 shipped brand new. Love it, although it could be louder. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...79fd1ad53c.jpg
