1200S Vs 1200R

I'm looking to buy slip-on Termingoni exhaust mufflers and the information I can find seems to indicate the the 'Y' pipe and mufflers from the 2015 Monster S and R are not the same. They look the same, but can anyone with more knowledge than me confirm or deny my understanding?

Thanks,

Ian

R model uses 58mm exhaust diameter...S model should be 50mm

S Vs R

Is that the stock sizes or the Ternignoni sizes?

I already have Termignoni's on my 1200S but the mufflers and 'Y' pipe are a little damaged bad I'd like to replace them with another set of Termignoni's.

Thanks,

Ian

R model uses larger exhaust pipe as stock...not sure if termi pipe will be the same size as stock but I would think so

@ianashdown
The 2016 R stock header diameter is measured and photo confirmed at 58mm by yours truly here:

@DesmoDerek measured the header on his 2017 S at 52mm and confirmed it with a photo.
