when I was working in oilfield, we had to wear earplugs. Depending on the outer coating some are smooth and rough. the smooth ones tend to stick to your ear canal and when it was time to remove them it felt like it was sucking your ears out. Licking them before inserting ensured they were able to be removed without discomfort.

Half Korean here with wet ear wax so no sticking. Always plenty of lubrication...

ahh thats where I went wrong...1/4 Jap, korean, aussie, brit here....Not enough lube in my ear canals lol. Nothing worse than pulling the plug out and seeing a trail of brown earwax lol

I was about to take my 2015 1200s to the dealer for the exact same thing, I too thought it was the wind maybe but then i hear it at idle all the time. 696 never did it. It's like a constant high pitch metallic rattleing sound yeah? If so I wont bother taking it in. Thanks.
