Replacement Bolts for Stock Mirrors

For the people who have replaced their stock mirrors where did you purchase the shorter right hand thread (CW)bolts to secure the fluid reservoirs back in place?

I couldn't find the right had thread one short enough anywhere. Called around to several bolt places. They can custom make them but it was expensive. I ended up just putting a 1/4 bit of vacuume line on the bolt so it was tight and re-using.

Anyone finds a source post up. Id love to switch.

I had the size and thread pitch for both but forgot otherwise id post it.

Plenty of people are replacing their mirrors so they have to be doing something. I was trying to avoid the route you went. Did you go with bar end mirrors and if so what size 60mm or 80mm? Anything else needed to mount on stock bars?

I installed bar end blinkers and the crg blindsite (small) mirrors (mount on bar end blinkers)

Yeah those are the type of mirrors I am looking at but went with the fork clip on signals. Will the mirrors just replace the bar ends since Im not getting the turn signals?

I ended up using a 3/8" nut and two washers as spacers for now...

Probably will just end up cutting both bolts.

My dealer being so awesome, saw that I used a bunch of washers and thought it was too "hack". So he took the same part off of a Multistrada which is essentially the same, minus the space for the mirrors. Looks stock and really nice. I could post pics if needed.

Yeah a picture would be great. So it sounds like I just need to find the part number for the bolt off a Multistrada. Year?

Just so everyone knows, the Bikes come from the factory with much smaller bolts holding on the reservoirs before they install the mirrors, they are just hex head bolts but I just painted them, the tech had a bucket of them and gave me some.
