Possible Exhaust Leak

Greetings! I recently picked up a 2013 Monster 1100 Evo and have been absolutely loving it. This forum was a huge help during the buying (and mild modifying) process. Seems like a pretty good group of people.

Question: Where the rear manifold meats the y-pipe I have seen some sweating (pic attached). Do you know if this is normal since the pipes are fitted together without a clamp or sealant? I don't see any coming from the front cylinder and this made me curious.

I was wondering if I should have the dealer look at it, but don't really want to pass up on this lovely Connecticut riding season that is only getting started.

I don't think you have a problem. Most of the connections are spring held anyway. If it bothers you pull it apart and put some exhaust sealer on it. I've used Permatex before just because it's available at almost any parts store.

Thanks, jduke. I will look into the Permatex option.
