Monster 1200 - Project Bike

Hard to believe how long it's been since I built my first Monster project bike, but the time has come for the next one. I purchased a 2017 Monster 1200 S earlier this year and I'm going to start modifying the bike soon. This bike is my daily rider, so I'll be making the mods one step at a time in order to keep the time off of the road to a minimum. Stay tuned...

Info on my 2009 Monster 1100 can be found here: http://www.bikeexif.com/top-5-ducati-monsters

Checked out that "Top Five" site. Your bike is by far the best of the five. Tastefully done...not a freak show on wheels.

If you can do as well with the 1200 it will be a treat for the eyes.
Looking forward to it.

maybe its me, but im not crazy about any of those bikes, except for maybe the 1100. id hate like hell to know what the build cost was, considering theres $10K between the wheels, swingarm, and subframe alone. i can certainly appreciate the amount of work that went into the real customs, and i "get" the scrambler and radical bikes, but the tesio bikes are always whack to me, and that other thing is just plain hideous.

that being said, i understand "beauty is in the eye of the beholder", and these are simply my opinions, and by no means are a bash on anybody else's tastes.

also, im looking forward to seeing the next bike. i enjoy looking at other people's work, even tho i like mine to look like it could be stock

A little precious metal to get us started. Decided to go with the full titanium system from Zard and it looks amazing. Can't wait to hear how it sounds. Hope to have it installed tomorrow. I'll share more photos when it's done.

Your 1100R is one of my favorite Monster build. Expensive, all bolt-on but tasteful.

I'm not a fan of the liquid-cooled Monsters so I look forward to how you fix the left side that looks like a dog's breakfast.

I'm really excited about this bike. My idea is that it will be a little less refined than and a little more raw than my first Monster, while keeping it clean and tasteful.
