SW Motech tankbag mount

To many, adding luggage to a Ducati is a horrible idea. I disagree. The quick-release SW Motech tankbag mount is finally out. Here it is, mounted on my little 696:

Where did you buy it? I can only find the EVO version and I don't think it will fit with my my non-EVO back plate on my bag.

talk to Twisted Throttle. I accidentally got the EVO puck the first time, they said "oh yeah, we just haven't put the non-evo on the site yet".

I kinda like the mechanical porn look of it.

Looks like something to bang into should you be in a good accident, but the piece does look great.

Why oh why is there not a picture of the silly bag in place?

Tank bags are great, throw over saddle bags are ok when camping, I just don't care for bikes with bags on them everyday when not being used.

Here is the 696 with an Engage tankbag:

The bag has since been updated and it is not the only one that will fit on the 696. Check out the "What Fits My Bike" section of our website for more info.

Hard to tell in the photo, is it "hovering" over the tank and not touching it? Looks really nice and clean.

The Bags-Connection tankbags are shipped without the topring installed. That way you can install it in the bottom of the bag so that:
  • It doesn't make contact with the tank.
  • Does not jab you in the belly.
  • Does not interfere with the handlebars.
