It's purely a personal opinion, but admiring Ducatis from afar my whole life, I believe they peaked in 08, and every single subsequent year has seen a cartoon like design add on, that veered from the classic thing Italian bike and car makers knew how to do.. To keep that balance between organic and man man functionality.
I'm with you on this one Rob. The line-up of 2009 is my favorite.
It went downhill after that because of the departure of Pierre Terblanche from Ducati in 2007-08.
He is behind the astonishing design of the MHe900, the Hypermotard and the SportClassics line. If it wasn't for the 999 and the first Gen Multistrada he would be hailed as a genius like Massimo Tamburini.
