Tell Us Your Monster-ous Story!
DucatiMonster.org has a new look, and with that new look comes a contest! Sponsored by Amsoil
All you have to do is tell us a story about your Ducati Monster, and you could win an Amsoil Oil Change Package! This prize package includes four quarts of oil and an oil filter, worth a total value of $80.
Journey from coast to coast on your Monster? Get up a little too close and personal with the asphalt, but lived to tell about it? Did you show your friends on their Japanese rockets and chrome-crazy Harleys just why they call it a “Monster”?
Just post your story in this official ‘Tell Us Your Monster-ous Story’ contest thread by 11:59 pm Monday, May 19.
The best ten... [Read More]

2009 Ducati Monster 696 Review |
|

There I was in the midst of it, decked in my finest T-shirt damp with 16 hours of travel perspiration, cargo shorts, year-old cross-trainers, four bags of gear in tow and late for dinner. Thanks for that, British Airways!
All I kept thinking to myself, as I tried to blend in like a cat at a dog show was, "I guess Italians and Spaniards really are that good looking." That, and how important a humble little air-cooled two-valve roadster must be to Ducati.
For all the glitz, glam and exposure Ducati's renowned 1098 and its variants have received in the past year and a half, you could almost lose sight of the fact that the Bologna, Italy, bike maker has any other products. Accolades from prestigious motopublications to the average Ducatisti heaped upon the brilliant Twin are deserved; it is a machine that has... [Read More]

Checking out some hot models |

Motorcycle.com took in a fashion show presenting Ducati's latest apparel, and we got a couple of models' numbers.
848, 1098, 696 and 16RR to be exact.
RevCycles in downtown Toronto was one of the dealerships in North America to debut Ducati’s 2008 fashion line, but all eyes were on the new motorcycles on display, including the first production Monster 696 in North America.

RevCycles added a full Termignoni exhaust system to improve power output while reducing weight, and replaced the Showa front and rear suspension with Öhlins shock absorbers. They’ve also added a... [Read More]

2008 Ducatis: First Look |

With a smashing MotoGP world championship in their pocket, there's no wonder that the key mantra at Ducati's Milan press conference was: "like in the D16." That's the winning Desmosedici for you, the non-Ducatisti.
Whether it's been while talking about the new 1098R's traction-control system or the new 696 Monster's amalgam of trellis frame with alloy sub-frame, Claudio Domenicali, Ducati's current mastermind, just couldn't resist reminding us all that the lessons learnt while crafting the world's fastest road racer (which squarely beat Japan's best) were put to good use in Ducati's 2008 street lineup.
With the SBK rules accepting 1200cc Twins for 2008, the release of an SBK homologation version of the 1098 was imminent. The 1098R is going to be the base of next year's factory bikes as well as... [Read More]
