Why purchased:
I always was worried that I’ll get hit from the back, especially
waiting at a stoplight. Not that that ever happened to me but
I know that some car drivers are not concentrating while driving
and especially in the mornings when they drink their coffees on
the way to work or talking on the cell phones while coming back
from work. I was always prepared in first gear and looking at
the mirrors while on the stoplight or stopping. I don’t anticipate
that this product will help me 100% not to be hit from the back
but I fully trust that it will reduce chances.
Did the product solve the problem or achieve the goal?
If not, why?
As I mentioned earlier I believe that this product will solve
my phobia and greatly reduce chances of being hit from the back.
Flashing red-light is more attention grabbing than a solid red
light. I especially like because this device is equipped with
“Smart” chip whitch would react differently on sudden stops and
on frequent stops.
Features you thought worked well on the product:
If the brake is applied after longer riding conditions (such as
cruising on the highways) system will send different pulses to
the stoplight making sure that you will be visible to the drivers
behind you. Unlike cheaper products that could be found on the
market this device would recognize frequent stops and will send
different signals to the stoplight so if the brake is applied
in the 12 seconds or less your stoplight will act as a normal
stoplight without annoying drivers in a vehicles behind you. This
is really revolutionary feature. I also love the fact that stock
taillight remaining unchanged, no additional ugly LED flashing
instruments or additional stoplight would be necessary. As most
of us, Monster Owners, we prefer minimalist look of our bikes
without additional accessories. Isn’t that why, all of us at DML,
own our Monsters anyway.
Installation:
Installation of the SupaBrake Flasher is the best part. You simply
detach 3 wires from the taillight and attach device between taillight
and those 3 wires. You are done. NO CUTTING of original wires
or soldering. Device comes standard with the same male and female
connectors. I installed mine in less then 3 minutes that is including
time spent on thinking, taking photos (see below) and reading
the installation guide.
Summary:
At the time when I’m writing this review on the company’s website
you can purchase 3 types of SupaBrake. First one is for Monsters,
second one is for other motorcycles and 3rd one is for Cars and
Trucks. This give me an idea that maker of the SupaBrake owns
Monster himself. I always like to support inventors especially
if we share same interests and taste ?. I really love this little
gadget.
Here are some photos I took during the time of installation.
