General Info:
Your review should be as factual as possible. While impressions
and opinions are part of the picture, for a reader to know whether
they'd reach the same conclusion they must have the facts. Don't simply say "I liked it" or "it was the worst" without first saying
specifically what features of the product worked well and what didn't.
Remember too that what works well for you might not be great for
everyone. If you're a racer then clip-ons might be the best thing
you've done to your bike, but if you mostly tour then they might
not be as great a mod. Try to address different uses of the product
in your review.
File
Format:
The
best format for web use is a plain text file. Use Notepad or
something similar that doesn't add line breaks. If you must use
Word that's OK, but it means more work for me. Pictures are great,
especially if they show the product on the bike (or you). If
you send pictures from another web site be sure you have permission
first. JPG or PNG files are preferred, and if you can keep the size
to less than 500 or so pixels wide that would be much appreciated.
When
you're done:
First,
please re-read the review. I know, this is 9th grade English
advice, but good nevertheless. When you're finished and happy with
it, send it to me (Michael Moore) at the webmaster email
address. Please include "DML" or something similarly obvious in the
subject line so I don't mistake it for another herbal Viagra pitch.

gets going, you might find a product that you're interested in
reviewing has already been reviewed by another member. Don't sweat
it, we're happy to add-on additional reviews to a product. The more
the better. |
