not sure if i'm violating some cross-club posting rules here....but i thought i'd check with you hill country guys to see if there are any nice-looking monsters for sale down your way. i totaled my 750 recently and just got the official word, so i'm trying to locate a replacement, as i don't really have the means to have a "project" bike right now since it would be my only wheels. i've been keeping an eye on craigslist, ebay, and the board here, but just thought i'd post something here in case any of you knew someone that was maybe thinking about selling or someone selling locally. i'm looking to get back on an s2r, but the classic monster is still a great bike...so i'm open to suggestions. pickup wouldn't be a problem, either.

anyway, thanks for your time, hope to see some of you in may on the hill country trip!

she was a fine M750 for sure (still is to be honest...i made the ride back from AR to dallas, just using 4th gear [thumbsup]). i just lost focus for a second and let myself stare at a patch of gravel in a Y intersection...and stood it up, but was still on the brake by the time i hit gravel. just very rookie mistake and i'm sorry to see her totaled over it. and i got a ticket the day before by some oklahoma forest rangers! wtf!! AR has some great roads, though...and great scenery. i'm looking forward to my next trip! (and my next monster). insurance is covering it....as far as $$ for the next one, i'd like to still stay relatively inexpensive...under 8k preferably.

It's just a little more than what you're looking at but this bike is one of the cleanest I've seen.. And its got a bunch of stuff that comes with it... Maybe y'all can work something out...

try craigs list? for example http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/654936969.html . this one is right around the corner from me... but i haven't checked it out yet.

There was a local guy trying to sell his wife's silver and black S2R 1000 a few months ago.
And a guy in Ft. Worth was also trying to sell the same model earlier this year.

I'll try to dig up the links.
Not sure if either bikes are still available...
