Default Any upcoming Detailing Clinic (Houston)?

It has been a while since our last detailing clinic and my bike could use some good cleaning as well and an excuse to have another get together.

Is there anyone thinking of hosting the next one? Craig hosted the last one. Thanks Craig. I learned the proper way to clean my bike!

[thumbsup] to Alvin for volunteering to host! hehe.

and Hiero, I'd be looking forward to your expertise on cleanliness

I really have nothing to contribute though - no garage or knowledge or anything ... but I'm a helluva cook and would be sure to bring some refreshments!

For starters, here's a list that would certainly elevate any party:
Schlitz Malt Liquor
Colt .45
Olde English 800
Mad Dog 20/20
Night Train

'cause that's how I roll.

I'd be down for something like this...

Last time I was over at David's my bike felt terribly unclean... And not in a good way!

I'm trying to get some money together (still) to buy the stuff I need for the 748's valve adjustment actually...

although, it's been long enough to where I could do another 2V maintenance clinic instead...

Wasn't that much interest in the detailing clinic last time we had it and didn't have that big a turn out either...
For anyone who would like, you are more than welcome to give me a call and come down to my place and I'd be happy to help you clean your bike properly

There you have it. Party at David's house! :P

Which reminds me to stop procrastinating and change the oil/filter and chain/sprockets after this weekend. Get to do the final test of the Milwaukee 9070-2 electric impact wrench of busting the drive sprocket nut off. Handled the clutch drum and wheel nuts without blinking.

But first I'm go to freeze my rear off due to global warming while trying not to get lost under 30ft-60ft of water this weekend. Blue Lagoon in Huntsville on Saturday and the new Mammoth Lake in Clute on Sunday.

I did not know that there's a proper way either until I saw first hand how Heiro (esp) and rn_joe clean their bikes ;D

I would volunteer my place but there is no garage and no shade I was actually trying to save some money for a 6x12 enclosed trailer as a garage but found out that my Honda Element won't be able to tow anything over 2K lbs! I guess, I'm stuck with a good bike cover.

Ok, back to the detailing clinic. Sounds, like either Heiro's place or Craig's [nice ride ] would be great. How about next Saturday or Sunday (May 3rd or 4th)? What do you guys think?

this coming weekend is no good for me, very busy...

for you SSS folks who need to get the wheel off, you should use my FG rearstand, it has an attachment that holds the rear wheel still so you can take the wheel nut off... no impact tools necessary
