houston-area help request!! I NEED YOUR HELP!
first off, in my mostly un-noticed absence, i'd like to go ahead and answer yes. it's a girl! i'd like to thank my sponsorsmyparentsmywifeyadayadayada
HoKAY, so on to my humble (yet a doozy) of a request: would any of you houstonians out there have, or know someone who has, 1) competent welding skills? and if at all possible (and way less likely) 2) portable welding kit??? (like a welding truck for example)
i am to the point in my latest project that i need ~half-dozen or so tabs, bits, and brackets welded, likely 4-6 hours worth of work, and can/will transport it as long as the work can be done on the spot (with my assistance of course) i can pay in cash or beer as well, and i am free most all of the time to get this done!
anyways, so i also know this thread would be worthless without pics, so here ya go:

Congrats!!! What a cutie!
My dad's a welder, and a serious perfectionist welder at that, but... he has two little kiddos of his own so he's hard to call dibs on. He's also very, very, very Polish, sooo imagine a crazy Eastern European telling you the best way to do things. That whole "with your assistance of course" thing... probably not so much ;-)
But, if you can't find someone else, he does like beer enough that he might be convinced otherwise... and, the more beer he gets, the more easy going he gets- aaaand then you have a drunk Polock on your hands.

[laugh] with that kind of introduction, I feel like I want to make up a welding project just to meet the guy!

That made me literally lol.
The only other person in the building, the janitor, gave me a funny look. [laugh]
I hope he doesn't report me. :-\
