2000 M900 sidestand switch and relay issues

My 2000 M900 was having intermittent issues when putting up the sidestand. I'd have to do it a number of times before the relay would function and activate the fuel pump. I bypassed the sidestand switch using a jumper but it didn't help so I bought another relay. The new relay isn't working either, I bypassed the sidestand switch and tried as well.

I'm wondering if there's a way to bypass the relay (with a jumper wire) to check the circuit beyond it and see if the relay is bad or if the issue is between the relay and the fuel pump.

I have a feeling the relay is bad, I got it from eBay, but I'd like to be able to test it and/or the circuit past it.

Moving electrons is not my strong suit. Try tracing the wires back to the harness looking for bad spots. When you find were it connects, clean the connections. It's not impossible both relays are bad, but it is suspicious. Was it supposed to be new ?

It was supposed to be new, yes.

The wires visibly look good, I'm not sure which contacts on the relay connect to which wire so I'm not sure where to test them with an Ohmmeter.

I'm only aware of one relay and the sidestand switch. Is there another relay?
