Getting off the highway I was shifting back up when suddenly my RPMS started to skyrocket and my bike went nowhere fast (in any gear) there is a tiny bit of power in it if I'm super careful and watch the RPMS and ride the line but not much, limped the bike home and parked it... It's a 2007 s4rs and so far I don't even know were to start any suggestions ppl?
Ok I haven't gotten anywhere looking through the posts any idea what I'll be looking for when I pull it apart to verify? I would sure love it to be something simple and easy but ...
Either the clutch (plates) itself worn out, or the actuator not working.
Remove the clutch cover and see if the pressure plate moves freely when you pull the lever.
And tell us how it looks (rust, dust, etc)
Looks worn out. Measure the thickness of the complete plate stack, new is around 38mm
Might have to replace the basket, or smooth the edges a bit for the short term.
So I measured the stack and I get 42 mm, is it possible I'm adding something I shouldn't be?
