Hmm, on the fence about that one Tony. I have both a Shumaker and a Battery Tender and both are trickle chargers and they are both "smart". I've brought back many a totally dead battery with them. 10amps can quickly overheat a motorcycle battery. I set my larger Shumaker to 10amps when I need to start a bike with a dead battery.
