Monster S4 Issue

Hi everyone, i have a question for those with more mechanical wisdom than my self.

I have a Monster s4 and this morning i wanted to take it for its first run since
i replaced a split radiator hose and replaced spark plugs and oil.
Anyway 5 min in the ride my overheat light came on so i stopped straight away to check it out. Radiator was empty but the reserve tank was still full, the hose that comes out the bottom of the radiator and to the water pump seemed soft and empty and a little collapsed. i made it home and pulled all the hoses of and checked for blockages in them, also tested the thermostat which is fine and the water pump also seems fine.

Any ideas on what may have happened?

btw, i did top all my fluids before i left and there are no leaks.
