My bike is fo e when riding off the battery tender but after a long ride the battery voltage will go under 12 and then it won't start and I have to push start it. I also changed the rectifier and didn't help. It's for sure a problem in the charging system and it's either a bad connection/short or the stator. Haven't dealt with it yet. For now just taking short weekend rides off the tender will have to get it taken care of and post then. Keep posting if you find anything out. They sell aftermarket stators which are a lot cheaper.

Well got her back from the shop and....voltage regulator was crapped out. Wires were turning brown and the black underside was starting to bubble. Soon it would have stranded me on the side of the road.

Just because its me I will probably be paranoid for a while but Gish darn it I wanna ride!!!!

Default Awesome

An issue like this that took almost 2 months to resolve is finally awesome when you get it figured out and repaired. I'm sure a lesson learned throwing the battery threw the window woulda been cool though. Merry Christmas!

I had the regulator start to burn on my S2r. Props to Bob at Ducati Brisbane for spotting it during a routine service before it gave me any shit. Apparently it's a bit of an issue.
