Default S2R1000 with no O2 sensor question

I have a new to me S2R that has a half open airbox, termis with mid pipes and I think a stock ecu. But there isn't a O2 sensor???

The bike smells like it is running a little rich. I'm looking for clues to look for to figure out what the dealer did when they installed it. I don't see a DP ecu on any of the paper work.

Any input is appreciated,

Thanks

Double check, stock ECU looks identical to DP performance one, the label on ECU should tell you that. Stock ECU uses O2 sensor, the one that comes with Termi kit doesn’t. Is bike running smooth?

If there's no O2 sensor and no warning light on the dash then it's most likely a DP ECU. A majority of the termi kits come with the DP ECU that's partly why they cost so darn much (plus it's Italian). if you remove the O2 sensor and keep the stock ECU you will get warning lights. And the stocker is pretty lean so if it smells rich that's another good indication that you've got the DP. It might just need a little tuning.

Does the bike have a full termi system or is the cat still there? You refer to mid pipes and not headers is why I ask. Just be conscious of whether or not the bike is
running correctly. No popping on decel or stall issues.

Thanks for the input.

So I went back through the receipts for the bike and it looks like the first owner bought the exhaust from the dealer $495 and then bought the header pipe somewhere else and brought them to the dealer for install at the first service 600 miles. I found one line in the bill that said installed and tuned vehicle for exhaust.

Does this mean they re-flashed the ecu? This was in May 07. I don't see anything about a new ECU.

But the bike runs really well if anything on the rich side and has no O2 sensor.

Thanks again
